Abstract:

Objective

To evaluate the diagnostic value of renal duplex sonography (RDS) for renal artery restenosis after percutaneous angioplasty and endoluminal stenting (PTAS) by meta-analysis.

Methods

Domestic and international databases were searched from inception to December 2018 for relevant articles. The retrieved articles were screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the quality evaluation and heterogeneity test were carried out. The diagnostic value of RDS for renal artery restenosis after PTAS was evaluated by meta-analysis.

Results

There were six qualified articles included in this meta-analysis. The pooled sensitivity and specificity were 92% and 89%, respectively, and the pooled diagnostic odds ratio was 83.33. The area under the curve (AUC) of the summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) was 0.9542, and the Q* index was 0.8963.

Conclusion

RDS is highly valuable in the diagnosis of renal artery restenosis after PTAS.
